Fertile Ground Cooperative is now offering recycling collection services for residents in Moore!

How the service works:

We provide you with one 96-gallon poly cart for mixed recycling. You place your recyclables (mixed paper, aluminum and steel cans, plastics #1 #2 & #5, and flattened cardboard) into your cart, roll it out to a visible, easily accessible location near your home (not necessarily at the curb, unless you're feeling fancy) by 7am on service day, and we will come by every other Monday to service it.

After signing up, you will get access to your customer portal where we provide you with a referral link that you can share in order for both you and your referral to receive a $10 credit to your account. You get a $10 credit for each referral and you can refer as many people as you would like! We kindly encourage you to help us spread the word. Together, we can make a significant impact.

Mixed Recycling Guidelines

  •  Accepted items: cardboard, paper, plastics #1, #2, & #5, aluminum and steel cans
  • NO PLASTIC BAGS
  • Please empty and rinse recyclables before placing them in the recycling bin to remove food or drink residue
  • Place lids back on plastic bottles after rinsing, before placing them in the recycle bin.
  • Place recyclable items specified above into the blue Fertile Ground bin provided. There will also be a sticker on the lid that shows you what  items go in the bin. 
  • Roll your blue cart to a visible, easily accessible location near your home (not at the curb) by 7am on service day.
  • We prefer that the recyclables be put straight into the bin without a bag. 
  • The only exception is for paper, because when it is windy this can make a mess when being dumped into the truck, so we ask that you place office paper and shredded paper into a PAPER bag.
  • If you have cardboard boxes please break them down to fit into the bin.
  • Any items that are outside of your cart will not be collected on service day unless you call us by noon the Friday before your service day to authorize an additional $5-$20 overflow fee based on the quantity of overflow. This will be charged to your account on file after the overflow collection is complete.
